Affiliate Marketing for Newbies
Everyone is trying to start a business Online. Then those who have websites, whats the 1 thing you see the most on all websites? Affiliates. Google (Adsense), Bidvertiser, Adbrite, Linkshare, Share-a-sale, Banner here, Banner there, You Name It.
It’s All about Affiliate Marketing – (Wiki) "is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts. It is an application of crowdsourcing.
Examples include rewards sites, where users are rewarded with cash or gifts, for the completion of an offer, and the referral of others to the site. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as 'retailer' or 'brand'), the network, the publisher (also known as 'the affiliate') and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third parties vendors. "
So they then Join Affiliate Networks – (Wiki) "..acts as an intermediary between publishers (affiliates) and merchant affiliate programs. It allows website publishers to more easily find and participate in affiliate programs which are suitable for their website. "
Then the Question are, “Do I want to Sell Something for other?” or “Do I want to make a store at home and sell from my garage?” or “Do I want to offer a Service?”
All those can be Affiliate Marketing. But what’s in High Demands? What might be in high demand in the real world, would not always be in high demand in the virtual world.
Well, a couple of services I can tell you is in high demand……WebMasters, Web Page Designers, SEO’s (Search Engine Optimization). Something I just started with, and waiting, hoping, praying for the results. The result to make a little extra money in this hard economy, during these hard times. OR, Better Yet, Retire and work from home (About 80% American Dreams). I’ve Tried many different things/ways. Some of my sites are: The Halloween-Master, AffiliateNetworkSite (Has Articles, Forum, Link Directory, Tools, and Many More), PetCemeteryOnline, NationalPeopleSeeker (People Search), and a Casino (Which I got rid of). They are doing So-So, but nothing to get excited about.
That’s the next thing, what to sell? You just have to do some research and do some Trial and Errors. Now, I’m making a website to just help others. Offer Free Tools, Domain, Hosting, Templates, Banner Creator, Affiliate Networks (The Top Ones), and even my services to Create/Design a website for Them (Free).

STEP #1 Deciding
What do you want to Do?? Sell Product(s) - Direct, Sell Product(s) – Affiliate, Sell Service(s) Through you or for someone else. Write Blogs and add Advertisements on it, Write Articles.
This is something that YOU want to do and would enjoy doing. All this is not going to happen overnight, it’s going to take time.
So it needs to be something that you are not going to get bored really quick.
Once you’ve decided, sit down with a Plan.
How are you going to do it?
How is it going to Look?
Do people Need these Items/Services?
Is it in High Demand?
Once you feel Secure about what you want to do, then you move onto the next step.
STEP #2 Location and Setting Up
Now that you’ve decided what you’re going to do, the next step is Location, Location, Location.
Figure out where you want to setup your Site. There are Many Places to go to.
Some are Free, which requires their advertisements on your site and some are cheap and can get good deals, such as http://affiliate-network-site.duoservers.com .
Once you’ve decided where to go, then start creating your site. Ask around if you need help.
But don’t pay HUGE $$ For some small service since a lot of people are willing to help you out for nothing.
Once you’ve Uploaded your page to your location, Look around for Affiliate, Ads, Exchanges or anything that can earn you Extra Money.
Some Recommendation:
* Google Adsense
* Shareasale
* Commission Junction
* Adbrite
* ClickBank
Anything that pays 20%+ Commission.
Just look around.
STEP #3 Getting the Word Out
Now that you have everything up and running, now you need to get the Word Out.
Start with,
Forums. Be active at Forums and add your Link to your Signature.
Social Networking. Facebook, Myspace, Hi5, Twitter, Whatever you can find.
Articles. Write articles and submit to Several Article sites. Be sure to add your Links in the Article and under the About The Author.
If you are not Good at writing Articles, you can pay someone $15 to write a 1 Page 750 Word article about whatever you want them to write about.
Banner/Link Exchange. Not only does that help to bring in Traffic, but also helps with Backlinks and Page Ranks.
Comments. Go to other Blogs, Articles and Submit Comments. Most commenting places will allow you to add your Website on it.
Don’t spam though. Post something simple, Like “Interesting Info, Thanks for Sharing.”
Heres a List of places to comment on and a few of them has a DoFollow Rule. It will count as Backlinks.

Submit to Search Engines. Google, Yahoo, Bing, Aol, Hotbot, & Any other search engines you can Find.
Also the last but not least, word of mouth. Tell your Family, your Friends, other people who has similar niche as your site.

Looking for ways to increase traffic and Page Ranks on Newly Made sites?
I’ve tried Many different ways (Since I have many different sites), most either don’t work out or was added onto google Banned List.
Example, www.nationalpeopleseeker.com , they say it’s not a good Landing Page. I think it’s pretty good. But do a keyword search for “Google Blacklist” and put that site in there.
Now why is that? NO Clue. But the Methods I’ve used for that site I’m no longer going to use.
However, 1 of the methods I’ve tried and DOES seem to work, and that’s Forum and Blog/Article Comments. I have a list of Blog/Article site that you can leave a comment and not having to worry about signing up for anything. They just want, Name, Email(Which does not get Published), Website, and Comment.

A lot of these sites are DoFollows. Meaning, they get Indexed. Also shows up as a Backlink. With 1 Site in 2 weeks, I went from 306 Backlinks to 2492 Backlinks. Which went from PR0 to PR2.
But here are some Methods to use:
· leave blog comments on other peoples websites
· leave forum posts
· tweet regularly
· regularly post on Facebook
· write at least one blog post a day
· network, network, network!
· check RSS feeds on a daily basis
· write guest posts
I’m on a mission at the moment to simplify everything I do. I want the The 4-Hour Workweek lifestyle…who wouldn’t?…but the only way we are going to get that is to consistently analyze what we do to see what is working and what isn’t and then refine the process. Other words, Trial and Error. But also remember, some things DO Require money. Don’t go too cheap. But at the same time, don’t spend $400/Month to make $100/Month either.
Some things you might want to consider spending money on:
- Domain Name (Not the Free Sites)
- Hosting (Not the Free Sites Either)
- Have someone write an Article for you.
(Its Something like $5-$10/Page with 750 Words per Page.)
- Submissions.
(Yes, there are Free Ones, But some places will do a little more and to Different Directories. Such as iNeedHits)
- Landing Page.
(If you can’t do it, Find someone who will do it in return for something else or Pay a little.)
Allow People To Participate On Your Page – You can use a landing page to link people up to follow you on Twitter, sign up for an email group or to become a fan of yours on Facebook. The possibilities are endless, and they all add up to excellent marketing tools. But these are Very Few on what you can do. You can check out more Articles at www.affiliatenetworksite-articles.com.

Do Follow Forums
A great way to boost your backlinks and search engine optmization is by posting on DoFollow Forums. DoFollow basically means it contributes to your pagerank, where as Do-Not Follow dosent. The more major Do-Follow Forums you post on, the higher your page rank will be.
Here is a list of the major DoFollow Forums, remember the bigger the Do-Follow forum, the better the page rank. Good Luck.
Just a quick note for people who don't know. In terms of linking your site from these forums, be sure to use the right anchor link text to have the best effect on your search engine rank.
